morimoto's was as i expected.
the best part of the restaurant itself had to be the COOL GREEN BATHROOMS (see previous entry)!!! ... the optical illusion behind each bathroom stall is an infinite cascade of green walls accented with pink/lavendor flowers.
the ty nant wall wasn't THAT impressive and looks like the service still needs some work.
the best part of the food in my humble opinion was the BANANA LEAF!!!
damn! ... who knew a freaking BANANA LEAF could lend so much flavor?!!
other notable exceptions include the earl grey ice cream, red miso souffle with yuzu ice-cream, the hydrangea and lightning thunder cocktails in addition to the hirame, tamago, whitefish roll, cauliflower consomme with lobster and scallop and the lamb carpaccio.
points for presentation go towards the tuna/hamachi tartare and the "rice krispy thingies" that we all so adored.
however, at 120 a head ... i wonder if in the end, we should've opted for the omakase.
