Quarter Century Mark

today i quietly celebrated my 25th birthday.

intimate dinner with close friends at dos caminos on park avenue. lobster bisque, langosta, and a sweet riesling to go with.

i wanted something different this year, more relaxed instead of the usual get down and party scene.

they say that your roaring twenties should be the best years of your life ... when you feel at your most invincible. but what surprises me most is how people start to lose grip of themselves in favor of what's comfortable.

complacency is the enemy.

at least, it should be.

but i've gained so much, blessed with all the goodies that come with age. and for that i'm truly thankful.
